In the room

The room

Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Road is the wide road that runs south out of Silom, and number 150 is a large blue door that does not advertise. The name is the obi, the paper strip that wraps a Japanese pressing, and the shelves behind the dark wooden counter hold the pressings to match: large wooden racks of rare Japanese vinyl, in The Standard's description, under dim light, with seating designed so that a solo guest does not feel like one. Everything plays from the record.

The person on the decks is called a Bar Viber, not a DJ. All the staff carry the title and rotate through it, and the job is the drinks, the sound and the feel of the evening together: tracks, lighting and level adjusted as the night turns from jazz to soul, city pop, funk, hip-hop and R&B. It is a kissa word for a kissa idea. You can listen, talk quietly, or come alone, and the room has been shaped so that all three look normal.

Who made it

The people

The team that opened Yayyyyy Record Bar in Nang Loeng in 2024, after what The Standard reports as nearly a year looking for a site. OBi opened in 2026. Nobody has published the founders' names, and the bar seems to prefer the pressings to the credits.

Which night

The night

Thursday to Saturday, when the residents play and both sources agree the door is open. Guest DJs take Wednesdays. Cocktails run 440 to 460 baht, and The Standard puts a night at 500 to 1,000 baht a head. The sources disagree on the week: Time Out says daily, The Standard says Thursday to Saturday. Message the bar on Instagram before a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, because there is no phone to ring.
