In the room
The room
Charoen Prathet Road runs parallel to the river on the Night Bazaar side, east of the walled city, and number 62/6 is a boutique clothing store with a record shop up the stairs. Khun Ae has sold records in the city for about five years and opened this room in 2023: secondhand LPs and new sealed releases across pop, indie, hip-hop and jazz, a small seating area with benches to listen on, and drip coffee while you dig.
It is a shop and it says so. It is on these pages as a pin for the afternoon, 1.4 kilometres from Deaf Shop, twenty minutes on foot, between Thirty Records on the west side and the Old City rooms that open at dusk.
