Fung Record Bar

Up a wooden staircase in a converted traditional house on Prapokklao Soi 1: analogue all the time, good speakers, a Beatles-themed highball, and ninety metres from Deaf Shop.

In the room

The room

Prapokklao Soi 1 is a turning off the road that runs through the middle of the walled city, and number 46 is a two-level conversion of a traditional house. Nuii Bar has the ground floor, the food menu and guest DJs playing from laptops. Fung is up the wooden stairs, and Fung is the reason the address is here: all analogue, all the time, funk, indie, disco and rock on vinyl. Time Out's verdict is that the speakers are good and the tunes rock, which is a short review and a complete one.

It is pitched as a sit-down, drink-and-chat room rather than a silent one. That is the honest register for an upstairs bar in a wooden house in a city where the evening is warm, and nobody here pretends otherwise.

Who made it

The people

Unnamed in the sources. ListenBars lists the room without owner verification, so nothing about the system is stated beyond Time Out's two words.

Which night

The night

Any night. Deaf Shop is ninety metres away, one minute on foot, which makes Fung the natural second stop, or the first on a Monday to Wednesday when Deaf Shop is shut and this is the only vinyl room open inside the walls. The Beatles-themed highball is the order. The hours, 18:30 to midnight daily, are from the August 2025 listing and no 2026 source has confirmed them: phone before a special trip.

Insider tip

Walk in knowing

Go up the wooden stairs, not into Nuii. Order the Beatles-themed highball, and use it as the second stop after Deaf Shop, or the first when Deaf Shop is shut.
