In the room
The room
Soi Sukhumvit 63 is Ekkamai, a ten-minute walk from the BTS, and number 70 is a room that The Infatuation describes as classic detail with a current look. The booth is the fixed point. DJs work it with their backs to the shelves and talk to the tables nearest them, which tells you the register before the first record does: this is a social bar with a serious collection, not a silent one. Soul, hip-hop, R&B and funk are the spine of the programme.
The second idea in the room is in the glass. The cocktails are built on traditional Thai herbs, botanical teas and old medicinal recipes, with natural wine alongside, and the records are chosen to go with what is being poured. Most bars pick the drink to suit the music. Here it runs the other way, which is either a gimmick or a philosophy, and after two it is hard to tell.
Who made it
The people
Friends who have collected records for more than two decades and opened the bar to get more people listening to vinyl. The Infatuation rates it mid-range. The same team opened a second door on the same soi in 2026, Club Salva, red where this one is not, which has its own page.
Which night
The night
Later in the week, when the booth is busiest. Order the herbal cocktails or a natural wine and sit near the DJ if you want the conversation. Time Out's July 2026 text gives Tuesday to Sunday, 18:00 to 01:00, closed Monday; its details box shows Friday and Saturday only. The bar's Instagram settles it on the day. Club Salva is eight minutes away on foot for the second room.
