In the room
The room
Bang Bon is a long way west, out past the Kanchanaphisek ring road, with no rail and a Grab of about fourteen kilometres from BTS Saphan Taksin that takes forty minutes if the traffic is kind. Nobody passes by. Number 80/82 on Soi Kanchanaphisek 6 was an empty room in an old dormitory, and somebody made it into the kind of room these pages exist for: dark walls, wooden furniture, low light that leans hard into the 1970s, built, Time Out says, for winding down at the end of the day.
A different vinyl DJ takes the room each night and works through the sleeves while you nurse a glass. A buy-and-sell corner lets you crate-dig between rounds, and regulars come for the racks as much as the music. Craft beer is the strength: about ten rotating taps, with pours from roughly 130 to 150 baht, which makes it the cheapest glass on this list by some distance.

Unnamed in print. Time Out's listing, published in July 2026 and updated in August, is the record, and the bar's Instagram handle comes from Time Out's photo credit.
Which night
The night
Make it the whole evening, not a stop. The ride is too long for a crawl, and the room is built for staying. Monday and Wednesday to Sunday, 17:00 to midnight, closed Tuesday. A draught from the ten taps, Thai brews, hazy IPAs, fruit beers, witbiers, and then the crate. Book the Grab home before the taps run out of reasons.

Insider tip
Walk in knowing
Go for the night, not for a drink. Ten taps from about 130 baht, a different DJ each evening, and a crate to dig. Book the Grab home.
Why it fits
Why it is in the atlas
A listening bar made from an empty dormitory on the far edge of the city, with a new selector every night and the cheapest glass on the list. The atlas's test is whether the room was built to listen in. This one was built from nothing else.
