Sounds of Abidjan

Each sound has its own page: what it is, its tempo where a source gives one, where it comes from and who carried it.

The scene

Abidjan's electronic scene is young, DIY and rapidly institutionalising: Djaouli Ent. (founded 2022) runs the BORO DE DJAOULI party series (021 on 2 Oct 2026) in unconventional spaces and hosted the first Boiler Room in Côte d'Ivoire on 17 Apr 2026; La Sunday (party since 2018) now has a monthly Rinse France show. The sound is hip-hop-rooted electronic crossed with coupe-decale, bouyon, cruise, gqom, afro-house, garage and jungle rather than four-to-the-floor techno.

Why it sits at heat 7
First Boiler Room in Côte d'Ivoire (17 Apr 2026, five local acts/pairings), a steady Djaouli party calendar through 2 Oct 2026, and a Rinse France residency for La Sunday with episodes up to Sept 2026.
