The experience
Studio Lam was up a narrow staircase above Zudrangma Records on Sukhumvit Soi 51. Maft Sai, the record-shop owner and producer behind the Paradise Bangkok label, ran it as a room for the Thai funk, mor lam and luk thung he had been digging out and reissuing downstairs. It was small, dim and built around records, with live nights from the bands that came out of that revival. After about twelve years it closed with a 49-night farewell run, and the final night was 28 February 2026. The atlas keeps the room as a record of what it was.
