Pulse

Thin coverage. No Jinja artist or collective is on Pulse yet, so this page holds what the research could source and nothing more: the tempo is an estimate and the venues, where any are named, carry the date of their newest evidence. If you run a night, a label or a collective in Jinja, or you know one, write to [email protected] or use the Collaborate page; a link to a set and a photo is enough to start.

Each sound has its own page: what it is, its tempo where a source gives one, where it comes from and who carried it.

The scene

Jinja, on the Nile east of Kampala, is where Nyege Nyege has run since 2015. The 10th edition ran 20-23 Nov 2025 at Adrift Overland, Kalagala Falls (about 62% Ugandan, 38% foreign attendees per the Uganda Tourism Board) and the 11th edition, the 'Wakaliwood Edition', is confirmed for 19-22 Nov 2026 at the same site with AEMC on 17-19 Nov. No government ban was found for 2025 or 2026; the Ministry of Tourism is partnering on regional tour packages.

Tickets are sold only via MTN MoMo Ticketing and Tag Ticketing; the organiser warns that resale tickets may be refused at the gate (Rio Times, 2 Oct 2026).
