The experience

Blue Note Tokyo is small. No official seat count is published; third-party counts put it at about 280. Seats are arena, pair, box, side sofas and a counter, all reserved by area, so arriving early changes nothing. The kitchen matters: you order until the show starts. The bill is a music charge plus a seat charge, with food and drink on top. Each show runs about 70 to 80 minutes, and the front entrance opens 30 minutes before the first set. The club opened on 26 November 1988 as a branch of the New York Blue Note. It moved to a larger room nearby in 1998. Runs are short, two or three nights in October 2026, with Sunday shows. The sales page shows who is in town through early 2027. There is no dress code. Children from elementary school age may come to the first show with a guardian, away from the arena and pair seats.
