The scene
A small, collective-driven techno scene centred on Algerian Techno Movement (ATM): an Algiers collective with Labyrinth events, Gurzil Records (techno), Lkemia (experimental imprint) and a Tariqa podcast series. Tsugi (Jan 2024) reports a Taghit desert rave ('Desertique Experience') whose first night was cancelled by authorities two days before, and features Faël, described as the only woman DJing at electronic nights in Algeria.
