In the room
The experience
Zouk is the elder of Asian club culture. Founded in 1991 in a former warehouse on Jiak Kim Street, it moved to The Cannery at Clarke Quay in 2016 and still anchors the Singapore clubbing economy. You reach the main room through a dramatically lit, sculptural tunnel: over 1,500 people, a multi-level dance floor and a customised Gary Stewart analog sound system. Phuture, next door, holds 500 and plays hip hop and R&B. The door is strict about two things above all: covered shoes and valid ID.
Insider tip
Walk in knowing
Bring valid, non-expired government ID and covered shoes. Without ID you are turned away with no refund, and sandals or slippers fail the dress code even on a hot night.
