In the room
The experience
Inside the Petronas Twin Towers, on Level Two of Tower Two, is Dewan Filharmonik Petronas: about 920 seats, Malaysia's first concert hall dedicated to classical music, and home of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. Cesar Pelli & Associates designed it with the acoustics firm Kirkegaard & Associates, and a Klais organ of 2,977 pipes, from just over an inch to 32 feet tall, was inaugurated in August 1998. The towers are the headline, but the hall was built for symphonic sound first. Smart casual is enforced at the door.
