The experience
Three days a year, the Central Harbourfront Event Space at 9 Lung Wo Road becomes a festival ground. It sits east of IFC, beside the Observation Wheel, with the Hong Kong Island skyline as its back wall. Clockenflap was first held in January 2008 at Cyberport for about 1,500 people. By 2015 the weekend crowd had reached 60,000; it skipped 2019. The 2026 edition runs from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 December. The first wave, announced in October, has keshi on Friday, Hayley Williams on Saturday and Slowdive on Sunday. Queens of the Stone Age, Hyukoh, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Kim Gordon are also on the bill. The main entrance is by the Observation Wheel near Pier 10; the exits towards Admiralty are exit-only, with no re-entry. Free water stations and recycling points were on site in 2025. Gate times and bag rules for 2026 were not yet published in October.
