In the room

The experience

Elsewhere opened on Halloween 2017 in a converted industrial furniture factory on Johnson Avenue, built by the team behind Glasslands in Williamsburg. Five rooms and three performance stages fill 26,000 square feet over three storeys. The Hall is the main room, 750 standing or 350 seated on the venue's private-events figures. Zone One takes 260, Chatroom 200, and The Loft, with Funktion-One sound and its own bar, 100. The Rooftop opens each May for a summer of outdoor shows and dance parties, 500 standing, and was still in use in October 2026. The whole building, rooftop included, is wheelchair-accessible, with reserved viewing areas available on request. The 2018 repeal of New York's Cabaret Law was celebrated on the Hall stage. Hours follow the events: around midnight Monday to Thursday, 4am Friday and Saturday, 11pm Sunday, with shows often starting at six or seven. It is five minutes' walk from the Jefferson St L.

Insider tip
